The topic of the dynamics of self-assembly is already an old one if one considers the seminal work of Anianson and Wall
(J Phys Chem 78 (1974) 1024)
who introduced the Becker-Döring equations as a vehicle to study micelle self-assembly.
In present days, the topic has revived in especially the physics society in a growing attention for dissipative self-assembly
which considers out-of-equilibrium processes
(J Phys Chem B 110(2006)2482).
The aim of this workshop is to discuss these matters in the light of
some recent developments
concerning chemical systems.
